Do defend the one being is also a duty because we are responsible for ourselves in the world.We are not supposed to hurt ourselves else we need others to help us which is like troubling others when we can help ourselves first.Then if its beyong your catch, just ask others if they can.

Brother this is really a nice work may allah pak give u sawab for this , these are teachings of islam so simple but most important.
